Destinations Covered - Hyderabad - Gulbarga - Badami - Chikmagalur - Mysore

Day 1 Arrive Hyderabad
Arrive Hyderabad in the morning and transfer to your hotel (room booked for immediate occupancy). After a morning at leisure visit the city including the Charminar, Lad Bazaar and the Salar Jung Museum.

Day 2 Hyderabad
Visit the impressive Golconda Fort in the morning returning via Qutb Shahi tombs. The afternoon is free.

Day 3 Hyderabad - Gulbarga
Drive to Bidar to see the ruins of the Bahmani Kingdom. Continue to Gulbarga for a night at the simple Hotel Aditya.

Day 4 Gulbarga - Bijapur
Explore the sights of Gulbarga including the fort and the tombs of Bahmani kings. Drive on to Bijapur and check into Hotel Madhuvan for the night.

Day 5 Bijapur - Badami
The morning sightseeing includes the Gol Gumbaz and the magnificent tomb of Mohammed Adil Shah. Drive on to Badami and check into the Badami Court. Set amidst red sandstone hills and rock-hewn tanks the beautiful villages of Badami, Aihole and Pattadakal were once the capital cities of the Chalukyan Empire.

Day 6 Badami
In the morning visit Aihole including the Lad Khan temple, dating back to 450 AD, where the earliest form of temple design can be seen, and Pattadakal, which has temples of the northern Nagara and southern Dravida schools. Later visit Badami including cave temples from the 6th & 7th century AD and the famous Malegitti Shivalaya temple.

Day 7 Badami - Hospet (Hampi)
Drive on to Hospet and check into Hampi Boulders or the Malligi Tourist Home. In the afternoon enjoy a sightseeing of Hampi, the city razed by the five Deccan sultans in 1565, including the Virupaksha Temple.

Day 8 Hampi
The day is at leisure to further explore the ruins of the Vijayanagara Empire.

Day 9 Hampi - Chikmagalur
Today drive to Chikmagalur and upon arrival check into your hotel.

Day 10 Chikmagalur
Visit the intricately carved Hoysala temples at Belur and Halebid today.

Day 11 Chikmagalur - Mysore
In the morning drive to Mysore visiting the imposing statue of Gomateshvara at Sravanabelagola and Tipu's Summer Palace at Srirangapattanam en route. Arrive and check in to your hotel.

Day 12 Mysore
Visit the sights of Mysore today including the Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hill, Nandi Bull and the colorful Devaraja market. Enjoy an afternoon excursion to Somnathpur.

Day 13 Mysore - Chennai (Covelong)
Morning free. In the afternoon take the Shatabdi Express to Chennai and transfer to your hotel.

Days 14 Chennai
Visit the rock carvings and the shore temples of Mahabalipuram in the morning. Afternoon free.

Day 15 Chennai - Onward Flight
Morning is at leisure. Later transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
