
Located to the north of Tropic of Cancer, Aizawl is the capital of the state and a famous cultural center. The city is also the hub of government offices, civil secretariat and state assembly house. Situated at an elevation of 1,132 metres (3715 ft) the city embraces the Tuirial river valley & Tlawng river valley in the east & west respectively. The Lake is spread across 13 hectares of land and is easily accessible from Aizawl. This beautiful attraction houses a wide variety of wild duck, Fish and crab. The forest that surrounds this lake is home to various wild animals such as tiger, bear, deer, wild pig and many more.

Champhai :
The bustling town of Champhai is a perfect spot for trekkers. The region offers the most amazing views of the nearby Myanmar hills that lush with greenery and fauna. Located at a few kilometers from this town is the traditional village of the Mizos known as Ruantlang.
Religious places in Aizawl :
Solomon's Temple Complex, Chawlhhmun was constructed by Kohran Thianghlim in the year 1984. The religious shrine is the only masterpiece in the entire state to be made from marble.
