Shree Jagannath Puri Temple Shree Jagannath Puri Temple: Shree Jagannath Puri temple is one of the most sacred temples of Puri whose foundation stone was laid back in the 12th century. This sacred place worships Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra. The temple has a very famous event related with it that is celebrated in the month of June-July known as the “Rath-Yatra”.

Rath Yatra Festival Rath Yatra Festival : The Rath Yatra Festival is one of the most awaited festivals of Puri that is celebrated with great pomp and show in the months of June-July. The festival marks the annual visit of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra to their aunt’s house for a nine day stay.

 

 

Chandan Yatra Festival Chandan Yatra Festival :It is held during the month of 'Baisakh' and goes on for a total of 21 consecutive days.

 

 

Puri Beach Festival Puri Beach Festival :Held every year in the month of November this festival is organized by the Tourism department of Orissa and showcases the artistic heritage and the most enchanting sand art of the state.

 

 

Snana Yatra Snana Yatra : On the Snana Yatra the idols of Lord Krishna, Balabhadra and Subhadra are bathed in the bathing pandal. It is celebrated in the month of Jyestha on the full-moon day.
