Day 1: Arrival at Amritsar Arrive at Amritsar today and check-in a hotel for overnight stay. The city of Sikhism’s holiest of shrine the Golden Temple, Amristar glitters with its gold plated gurudwara and the holy pool considered the pool of immorality by the devotees. On arrival in the city you will encounter a great contrast of frenetic old lanes and grand tour and modern alleys of the city. Evening in the city will be free for leisure activities. You can enjoy various sightseeing activities. It includes visit to Golden Temple which is an important Sikh shrine visited by thousands of devotees each year. Built in between 1574 to 1604 the temple is surrounded by a small lake however much of its marble work and decorative gliding dates back to 1800s. The tranquilizing factor of the temple is divine and can make you stretch your stay in Amritsar for longer than you planned.
Day 2: Amritsar - Dalhousie Next day at Amritsar visit a historic site, Jallianwala Bagh which houses a memorial to commemorate the massacre of peaceful celebrators by British official. Bow to Hindu deity at Durgiana Temple dedicated to Goddess Durga before you head back to your hotel in Amritsar. Later proceed for a drive to Dalhousie. On arrival check-in a hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3: Dalhousie The day at Dalhousie will be free for leisure; one can just explore the vast and pristine surroundings of Dalhousie. You can visit Panjpulla, Subash Bowli, and Stature Falls. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 4: Dalhousie - Dharamshala Drive to Dharamshala. Dharamshala has everything for a perfect holiday. The suburbs of Mcleodganj and Forsytheganj, retains a British flavor and colonial lifestyle. At Dharmashala the rest of the day will be free for leisure.
Day 5: Dharamshala- Mcleodganj- Dharamshala Enjoy local sightseeing today. Set on a sightseeing tour of Dharmshala and first visit a quaint little town, Mcleodganj (Optional). Also known as "Little Tibet" Mcleodganj is the place of residence of Dalai Lama. At the start of Mcleodganj is a small bazaar filled with variety of Tibetan handicrafts and artefacts. At the end of the spur lies the Namgyal Monastery, providing tranquility and solace perfect for a rejuvenating sojourn to the hills. Apart from gorgeous vistas and serenity, Mcleodganj is frequently visited by those interested in learning Tibetan Buddhism, culture and crafts; it is also an ideal destination to full your bags with exquisite Tibetan handicrafts, Tibetan carpets, garments and other trinkets.
Day 6: Dharamshala - Manali Check-out the hotel and take drive next to Manali. While domestic tourists visit Manali for honeymooning and the enchanting views of mountains the foreigners loves to indulge in adventure sports and for a laid back exploration of the surrounding villages and temples. Also it is from here that a significant number of trekkers set on their mountaineering escapades towards Ladakh, Karakoram Pass, Spiti, Leh and Keylong. Rest of the day will be free for recreation at the hotel in Manali.
Day 7: Manali The day brings a sightseeing tour of the town. First visit the 450 years old temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, which has some excellent woodcarvings which includes its intricately carved wooden doors and a 24 meters tall wooden tower. Goddess Durga dominates most of the themes of the carvings inside the temple which is very captivating. You will also visit the Vashisht Bath, Manu Temple, Jagat Sukh Tibetan Monastery and the handicraft centre. The rest of the day at leisure or walk to the nearby picturesque village of Vashisht known for its quaint environs, small temples, simple living and of course hot sulphur springs. Visit Vashisth to witness tranquilizing façade of Mother Nature. Evening will be free for leisure activities.
Day 8: Manali Set on another sightseeing tour and visit Solang Valley which is situated at the top of Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh. The valley is not only a favorite of nature lovers, but is equally loved by adventure freaks for it offers summer and winter sport conditions. You can try your hands at various exhilarating sport activities such as parachuting, paragliding, skating, skiing and zorbing. Moving ahead on your delightful holiday you will move towards the not to be missed destinations of the region, the Rohtang Pass where you may get a chance to frolic in the snow. Situated 51 km from Manali at an altitude of 3978 meters Rohtang Pass is a high mountain which connects Lahaul and Spiti Valleys (subjected to weather conditions). Also spend some quality time at Kothi and beautiful Rahala Waterfalls situated at an altitude of 2501m on the way. Rest of the evening is free to explore Manali.
Day 9: Manali - Departure The exciting Himachal tour comes to an end on this day and you will find our representative at the hotel lobby. You will be directed back to Bhuntar Airport where you will board your flight back homewards.
